While completing his undergraduate education Michael was actively involved in student advocacy. Michael is particularly passionate about social justice, as is evidenced by both his vocation history and postgraduate study thus far. He feels that his passion for social justice is largely due to his birth and early childhood in Bombay, India and his theological perspectives. Working in the developing world has afforded him a lucid awareness of many of the problems that are endemic to the developing work and the institution structures that give rise to them. Working with AYAD in Vietnam recently, has served to heighten his awareness of the levels of abject poverty around the world. Michael has been brought up in an environment that encouraged and nurtured his passion for community development, with parents and friends that share this passion. Their collective fervour gave rise to the conception of the entity. Michael hopes to improve the lives of others through Nexus.
