| Mahboob was born in Bangladesh and at the age of ten moved to Melbourne with his family. Coming from one of the poorest countries in the world, Mahboob has experienced some of these conditions first hand and is therefore extremely passionate about making a difference to impoverished communities. Here in Australia he is grateful to have first-class primary, secondary and university education, having completed Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin University in Accounting and Finance. With inspiration coming from his entrepreneurial uncle, Mahboob is passionate about business and how he could empower the poor. Mahboob has completed a Certificate IV in Small Business Management. Mahboob has undertaken several significant leadership programs. He has been involved with over thirteen organisations with experience across sales, marketing and leadership to equip himself for the future. Mahboob currently works for Nexia ASR, a mid-tier accounting firm in Melbourne, where he has worked across audit, tax advisory and business services divisions. Mahboob will be focusing on creating new opportunities to build strong relationships in Bangladesh where Nexus Foundation can support and build structures to empower to the poor. He will also be working with Aaron Busary to develop key social entrepreneurship initiatives to support positive social change in the developing world. He is also actively involved with Deakin University Alumni Chapter. He has been working closely with both Michael D’Rosario and Mukund Narayanamurti to raise awareness on social and environmental issues. Prabath WickramanayakePrabath Wickramanayake was born in Colombo Sri Lanka in December 1982.
